Waking up that morning was unusual for me..
Aside from the fact that it was the day of my birth,
It was the first, in all of my birthdays, for me to have a class at school.
You see, April-May is considered as summer break..
but life as a college student is a whole different thing.
It was a typical day for me, just like any other day.
The first person that greeted me was Cherry, via text, while Precy "betchee" was the first to greet me personally.
The day went fast...
I spent my spare time at the library... at the E-Library of course...
I wondered why Betchee, Hara and Shandy is nowhere to be found..
I suddenly got a really HUMBLE idea that they were planning to surprise me and that they were buying a gift for me.
I know the idea was crazy but I had high hopes, given that two of my classmates were given birthday surprises too..
I was already having a clue when i found them huddling at hara's cubicle during our Computerized Accounting class at HR 120, like they were looking at and hiding something. When Kim and I arrived from the rest room, they all returned to their seats at once.
After our last subject, they told me that we'll have a meeting. I followed them. Actually, I was waiting for them to do or say something. The people that present that time were Kim, Cathlyn, Precy "betchee", Hara, Shandy, Rowie, Kelly, Faith, John, Marra, Rachel and others that weren't mentioned will forever be treasured in my mind and heart..
At last they had their countdown and a huge smile was drawn across my face.
Ta-dah! Happy Birthday!..
A beautiful card was given to me, wrapped with a pink ribbon, together with a two-heart-shaped Barbie container, which contained a couple of kikay stuff. A pink bangle, pink earrings, Barbie eraser and a Barbie towel...
I love it! I can't thank them enough.. I lost count of how many "thank you's" I've said that day. All I know was that it's a birthday surprise worth remembering. <3
